A hands-on training session where a business owner went from watching to driving — learning to redesign and deploy their own website using Claude Code.
A small business owner in Austin running events, workshops, and a product line. Comfortable with technology — not afraid of the command line, but hadn't used it for web development. Had an existing website that needed a redesign but didn't want to hire a developer or agency for something he could learn to do himself.
His goal: learn how to use AI tools well enough that he could maintain and evolve his own web presence going forward. Not a one-time handoff — real capability transfer.
This was a CLI-focused training session — the command line version of Claude Code, which gives more control and speed than the desktop app. Over the course of the session:
Installed Claude Code CLI, set up the project folder, and walked through how AI reads and edits files on your computer. Explained the permission model and how to stay in control.
Took his existing site and started rebuilding it in real time. AI analyzed the current design, proposed improvements, and generated clean HTML/CSS. He watched the process, asked questions, and directed changes.
Taught the core principle: describe your situation and your goal, don't try to give AI step-by-step instructions. Like Google Maps — you give it the destination, it figures out the route.
Set up Cloudflare Pages for free hosting. Showed how to push changes from the command line. Once configured, deploying an update is one command.
By the end, he had the tools installed, the deployment pipeline set up, a personalized cheat sheet, and enough understanding to continue on his own. The training was the product.
This is super helpful. I feel like there have been so many technical projects on the back burner just because I don't have time for them. I could really leverage this.
I love to find ways to pay you for more consultation. This was genuinely one of the most useful sessions I've had.
He didn't leave with a finished website — he left with the ability to finish it himself. And to build the next thing. And the thing after that.
You can hire someone to build things with AI for you. But the real leverage is learning to do it yourself. One training session unlocks every future project — websites, tools, automations, content — without a phone call or an invoice.
That's what these workshops are for. Not a demo. Not a pitch. A working session where you leave with tools installed, skills learned, and projects unblocked.
